Question 1. What is politics? Discuss the nature of political theory.

What is politics?

A: According to Western history, the word politics comes from the Greek word polis. polis means city-state or city-state. Which means a set of principles and rules by which the activities of the members of the entire group are regulated. Therefore, the meaning of politics refers to a collective ability to make decisions for the benefit of society. It means public power.

Nature of Political Theory:
1. Political theory is unbiased and neutral
Political theory is a branch of politics. Which works independently for public welfare. Represents the reality of politics. It implements the real purpose of politics for public welfare without favoring any personal interest.


2. Political theory is the seed text of political science

From ancient Greece to the present day, political theory studies the pillars of history and the basic and eternal concepts. This theory studies political phenomena, processes, institutions, and actual political behavior.
3. Interested in moral and ethical issues

Political theory thoroughly analyzes and interprets the basic ideas and concepts of political thought. That is why political theory is called the history of political thought.

4. This speaks in favor of conservative values

Political theory deals with public interest. But the person is not central because this principle works independently.
